The Birth of a Nation

22 "Therefore tell the house of Isra'el that Adonai ELOHIM says this: 'I am not going to do this for your sake, house of Isra'el, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have been profaning among the nations where you went. 23 I will set apart my great name to be regarded as holy, since it has been profaned in the nations - you profaned it among them. The nations will know that I am ADONAI,' says Adonai ELOHIM, 'when, before their eyes, I am set apart through you to be regarded as holy. 24 For I will take you from among the nations, gather you from all the countries, and return you to your own soil. 25 Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your uncleanness and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit inside you; I will take the stony heart out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put my Spirit inside you and cause you to live by my laws, respect my rulings and obey them. 28 You will live in the land I gave to your ancestors. You will be my people, and I will be your God.  Ezekiel 36

11 Then he said to me, "Human being! These bones are the whole house of Isra'el; and they are saying, 'Our bones have dried up, our hope is gone, and we are completely cut off.' 12 Therefore prophesy; say to them that Adonai ELOHIM says, 'My people! I will open your graves and make you get up out of your graves, and I will bring you into the land of Isra'el. 13 Then you will know that I am ADONAI - when I have opened your graves and made you get up out of your graves, my people!14 I will put my Spirit in you; and you will be alive. Then I will place you in your own land; and you will know that I, ADONAI, have spoken, and that I have done it,' says ADONAI." 15 The word of ADONAI came to me: 16 "You, human being, take one stick and write on it, 'For Y'hudah and those joined with him [among] the people of Isra'el.' Next, take another stick and write on it, 'For Yosef, the stick of Efrayim, and all the house of Isra'el who are joined with him.' 17 Finally, bring them together into a single stick, so that they become one in your hand. 18 When your people ask you what all this means, 19 tell them that Adonai ELOHIM says this: 'I will take the stick of Yosef, which is in the hand of Efrayim, together with the tribes of Isra'el who are joined with him, and put them together with the stick of Y'hudah and make them a single stick, so that they become one in my hand.' 20 The sticks on which you write are to be in your hand as they watch.21 Then say to them that Adonai ELOHIM says: 'I will take the people of Isra'el from among the nations where they have gone and gather them from every side and bring them back to their own land. 22 I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Isra'el; and one king will be king for all of them. They will no longer be two nations, and they will never again be divided into two kingdoms. 23 "'They will never again defile themselves with their idols, their detestable things, or any of their transgressions; but I will save them from all the places where they have been living and sinning; and I will cleanse them, so that they will be my people, and I will be their God.
26 I will make a covenant of peace with them, an everlasting covenant. I will give to them, increase their numbers, and set my sanctuary among them forever. 27 My home will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be my people. 28 The nations will know that I am ADONAI, who sets Isra'el apart as holy, when my sanctuary is with them forever.'" Ezekiel 37

Chapter 26e: TheFirstborn of Jehovah Part V

hebrews-12-2
TO:         All Hebrews
FROM:  Jehovah God of the Hebrews
Hebrews Chapters 12 & 13
Hebrews 12:1-2  1Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses {believers}, let us, too, put aside every impediment - that is, the sin which easily hampers our forward movement - and keep running with perseverance in the race set before us, 2 Let us fix our eyes on Yeshua, the author and perfector of our faith, who, in exchange for obtaining the joy set before Him, endured execution on a stake as a criminal, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
isaiah-scroll1The prophet Isaiah, in chapters 52 and 53, foretells one account of Yeshua’s crucifixion. Jehovah God is speaking of His only begotten Son, Yeshua.
Isaiah 52:13-15  "See how My servant will succeed! He will be raised up, exalted, highly honored! Just as many were appalled at Him, because He was so disfigured that He didn't even seem human and simply no longer looked like a man, so now He will startle many nations; because of Him, kings will be speechless. For they will see what they had not been told, they will ponder things they had never heard.”
Isaiah 53  1 Who believes our report? To whom is the arm of ADONAI revealed? 2 For before him Yeshua grew up like a young plant, like a root out of dry ground. He was not well-formed or especially handsome; we saw Him, but His appearance did not attract us. 3 People despised and avoided Him, a man of pains, well acquainted with illness. Like someone from whom people turn their faces, He was despised; we did not value Him. 4 In fact, it was our sins He bore, our pains from which He suffered; yet we regarded Yeshua as punished, stricken and afflicted by God. 5 But Yeshua was wounded because of our crimes, crushed because of our sins; the disciplining that makes us whole fell on Him, and by His bruises we are healed. 6 We all, like sheep, went astray; we turned, each one, to his own way; yet ADONAI laid on His only Son, Yeshua, the sins of us all.  In fellowship with God 7 though mistreated, Yeshua was submissive - He did not open His mouth. Like a lamb led to be slaughtered, like a sheep silent before its shearers, Yeshua did not open his mouth. 8 After forcible arrest, beatings and sentencing, He was taken away; and none of His generation protested His being cut off from the land of the living for the crimes of God’s people, who deserved the punishment themselves. 9 He was given a grave among the wicked; in His death He was laid in a rich man’s tomb. Although Yeshua, being perfect, had done no violence and had said nothing deceptive, 10 yet it pleased ADONAI to crush Him with suffering, to see if He would present Himself as the once-for-all guilt offering. If Yeshua does, He will see His offspring; and He will prolong his days; and at His hand ADONAI's desire will be accomplished. 11 After the suffering of His soul, He will see the light of life and be fulfilled. "By Yeshua’s knowing pain and sacrifice, My righteous servant makes those who believe in Him righteous; it is for their sins that he suffers. 12 Therefore I will assign Him a share with the great, He will divide the spoil with the mighty, for having exposed Himself to death and being counted among the sinners, while actually bearing the sin of many and interceding for the offenders."
jesus on crossThe greatest act of forgiveness came from Yeshua as He was dying on the cross.  Yeshua cried out, ”Father, forgive them for they no not what they are doing.” Luke 23:34
Why should we ever have trouble forgiving one another?
Read the account of Yeshua’s crucifixion from an earlier blog post "It Is Finished"  and from the account found in Luke 23.
Drops of blood splattered the narrow cobblestone pavement in Jerusalem that lead to Golgotha, known as the place of the Skull, on Mt. Calvary.
Yeshua’s flesh was torn to the bone from the scourging.  His appearance was disfigured beyond that of any man and His form marred beyond human likeness.  Those who rejected Him inflicted mental and physical brutalities beyond comprehension upon Yeshua. A crown of thorns pierced His brow, which mocked and ridiculed His answer to Pilot, “My Kingdom does not belong to this world’s order of things.”
Yeshua’s last hours were filled with the deepest depth of sorrow and injustice beyond belief! Innocence, truth, love, and forgiveness were crucified.  Yeshua’s blood flowed.  Oh, the blood, the precious blood of the Lamb, Jehovah’s Lamb.
There is power in His blood: the power to overcome sin and save us from death and Hell, and the power of love that purifies and redeems.  The Lamb is without spot or blemish.  The Lamb that laid down His life, once-for-all, for whosoever chooses, so that we may be washed and justified from sin by faith believing.

"Power In The Blood" performed by Nicole C. Mullen
The Lamb was foreshadowed back in Egypt when the Israelites where told by Moses to put the blood of a lamb on the doorpost of their homes so that death would pass over.
Blood is life. The blood of Yeshua has the power of life over death and fills the hearts of those who receive Him with eternal life.  The veil, which separated the Holy of Holies, was torn from top to bottom by Jehovah.  This act reveals that we have direct access to Him through His Son, Yeshua the Great High Priest.  Yeshua is our intercessor having accomplished His mission, given by His Father Jehovah, through fulfilling the law and establishing the new blood Covenant.
No one could see behind the Temple veil except the high priest. Today, only the veil of spiritual blindness stands between one’s seeing and believing Jehovah’s complete truth.
Worthy is the Lamb! In Yeshua, we have redemption through His blood and the forgiveness of sins. Ephesians 1:7 Jehovah gave His Son to pay the ultimate price.  Yeshua was born to die so that you and I could have eternal life!
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER LET ANYONE TELL YOU THAT JEHOVAH GOD AND HIS ONLY SON, YESHUA, DO NOT LOVE YOU!

"Written In Red"
The 12th chapter of Hebrews begins with therefore.  What is therefore - there for?  It is to bring to a conclusion, from previous chapters, the major highlights of Jehovah’s revelation of truth through warnings {to those who reject Jehovah’s word of truth} and perseverance {those who accept Jehovah’s word of truth} in regard to His Son, Yeshua.
It is imperative that you, the Hebrew people, by faith believing, accept Jehovah’s truth by knowing His Son, Yeshua, as your personal Savior and Lord of your life.
It is evident that Jehovah God presents His truth to His Hebrew people. Let us review by taking a look as some key examples.
1) In the past, Jehovah spoke to your forefathers through His prophets.
2) In the last days, Jehovah spoke through His Son, Yeshua, whom He appointed heir of all things.
3) Yeshua will be King in the Kingdom of Heaven in the New Jerusalem forever and ever.
4) Jehovah’s warning: do not ignore such a great salvation!
5) Yeshua, Jehovah’s Son, was made like His brothers in order to become the merciful and faithful Great High Priest, making atonement for the sins of the people.  Amen and Amen!
6) Yeshua is greater than Angels (messengers) or Moses, a servant in Jehovah’s house.  Yeshua is the Son over Jehovah’s house.
7) Jehovah’s Holy Spirit speaks another warning:  today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart.  Listen! Seek Jehovah God with all your heart!
8) You have heard the Gospel preached; respond by faith believing in Yeshua Messiah the Christ – while it is today.
9) As a new believer, hold firm to the faith you possess.  You know Jehovah’s truth and His truth sets you free.
10) Yeshua paid the price for your sins with His blood in order that you may have everlasting life through Him only.
11) Jehovah’s warning:  do not fall away from the truth!  Walk in the Holy Spirit and not in the flesh.  All things spiritual!
12) Melchizedek foreshadowed Yeshua Messiah, the Christ and the Great High Priest forever and ever!  No other priests are needed.  Yeshua is your all in all and the only intercessor between you and your heavenly Father God.
13) Jehovah God’s Son, Yeshua, is the mediator of the New Blood Covenant, through His once-for-all blood sacrifice. He set those who choose Him free from sin with His promise of an eternal inheritance in the Kingdom of Heaven! Amazing love!
14) Trust in Jehovah God, for His Word is truth and He cannot lie.   Exercise your trust in God by faith believing in Yeshua His Son for salvation. Stand firm in the faith.
ALL 14 examples can be summed up into one.  Jehovah God warns, do not ignore such a great salvation – Do not ignore My Son, Yeshua.
faithStand firm in FAITH.
F is for forgiveness.  “In Yeshua we have redemption through His Blood, the forgiveness of sins.”  Ephesians 1:7
A is for available for all.  “For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son, Yeshua, into the world that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16
I is for impossible. It is impossible for God to allow sin into Heaven.  “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
T is for Turn. Turn is to repent from your self and sin and by faith believing, turn to Yeshua for salvation.  “If My people, which are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”  2 Chronicles 7:14
H is for Heaven. The dwelling place, the eternal home for all believers, called the Kingdom of Heaven, the perfect place without sin, where Yeshua is the King of kings and Lord of lords forever without end! Yeshua told His disciples of this place.  "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God and believe in Me. In My Father's house are many places to live. If there weren't, I would have told you because I am going there to prepare a place for you. Since I am going and preparing a place for you, I will return to take you with Me; so that where I Am, you may be also. Furthermore, you know where I'm going; and you know the way there."  John 14:1-4
By FAITH let us see. By FAITH let us believe in Jehovah’s Son, Yeshua. By FAITH let us receive Jehovah’s love gift of salvation through Yeshua, the One who paid the price for my sin and yours, through the shedding of His blood ONCE-FOR-ALL to those, who by FAITH believing in Yeshua, personally receive Him as Savior and Lord of their lives.
God is dealing with you as sons; regard your endurance as discipline.
1 So then, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us, too, put aside every impediment - that is, the sin which easily hampers our forward movement - and keep running with endurance in the contest set before us, 2 looking away to the Initiator and Completer of that trusting Yeshua, who in exchange for obtaining the joy set before Him, endured execution on a stake as a criminal, scorning the shame, and He sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Yes, think about Yeshua who endured such hostility against Himself from sinners, so that you won't grow tired or become despondent. 4 You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in the battle against sin. 5 Also you have forgotten the counsel, which speaks with you as sons: "My son, don't despise the discipline of ADONAI or become despondent when he corrects you. 6 For ADONAI disciplines those he loves and whips everyone He accepts as a son." 7 Regard your endurance as discipline; God is dealing with you as sons. For what son goes undisciplined by his father? 8 All legitimate sons undergo discipline; so if you don't, you're a mamzer and not a son! 9 Furthermore, we had physical fathers who disciplined us, and we respected them; how much more should we submit to our spiritual Father and live! 10 For they disciplined us only for a short time and only as best they could; but God disciplines us in a way that provides genuine benefit to us and enables us to share in His holiness. 11 Now, all discipline, while it is happening, does indeed seem painful, not enjoyable; but for those who have been trained by it, it later produces its peaceful fruit, which is righteousness. 12 So, strengthen your drooping arms, and steady your tottering knees; 13 and make a level path for your feet; so that what has been injured will not get wrenched out of joint but rather will be healed. 14 Keep pursuing shalom with everyone and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. 15 See to it that no one misses out on God's grace, that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble and thus contaminates many, 16 and that no one is sexually immoral, or godless like Esav, who in exchange for a single meal gave up his rights as the firstborn. 17 For you know that afterwards, when he wanted to obtain his father's blessing, he was rejected; indeed, even though he sought it with tears, his change of heart was to no avail. 18 For you have not come to a tangible mountain, to an ignited fire, to darkness, to murk, to a whirlwind, 19 to the sound of a shofar, and to a voice whose words made the hearers beg that no further message be given to them - 20 for they couldn't bear what was being commanded them, "If even an animal touches the mountain, it is to be stoned to death"; 21 and so terrifying was the sight that Moshe said, "I am quaking with dread." 22 On the contrary, you have come to Mount Tziyon, that is, the city of the living God, heavenly Yerushalayim; to myriads of angels in festive assembly; 23 to a community of the firstborn whose names have been recorded in heaven; to a Judge who is God of everyone; to spirits of righteous people who have been brought to the goal; 24 to Yeshua the mediator of the New Covenant,  and to the sprinkled blood that speaks better things than that of Hevel (Abel). 25 See that you don't reject Jehovah God who speaks! For if those did not escape who rejected God when He gave divine warning on earth (Mount Sinai) think how much less we will escape if we turn away from Him when He warns from heaven (Mount Zion). 26 Even then, God’s voice shook the earth (Mt. Sinai); but now, God has made this promise: "One more time I will shake not only the earth, but the heaven too (Mount Zion)!" 27 And this phrase, "one more time," makes clear that the things shaken are removed, since they are created things, so that the things not shaken may remain (eternal). 28 Therefore, since we have received an unshakeable Kingdom, let us have grace, through which we may offer service that will please God, with reverence and fear. 29 For indeed, "Our God is a consuming fire!"

"A Mighty Fortress" performed by Christy Nockels

Exhortations for all believers
1 Let brotherly friendship continue; 2 but don't forget to be friendly to outsiders; for in so doing, some people, without knowing it, have entertained angels. 3 Remember those in prison and being mistreated, as if you were in prison with them and undergoing their torture yourselves. 4 Marriage is honorable in every respect; and the marriage bed kept pure for God will indeed punish fornicators and adulterers. 5 Keep your lives free from the love of money; and be satisfied with what you have; for God himself has said, "I will never fail you or abandon you." 6 Therefore, we say with confidence, "ADONAI is my helper; I will not be afraid what can a human being do to me?" 7 Remember your leaders, those who spoke God's message to you. Reflect on the results of their way of life, and imitate their trust - 8 Yeshua the Messiah is the same yesterday, today and forever. 9 Do not be carried away by various strange teachings; for what is good is for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods. People who have made these the focus of their lives have not benefited thereby. 10 We have an altar from which those who serve in the Tent are not permitted to eat. 11 For the cohen hagadol brings the blood of animals into the Holiest Place as a sin offering, but their bodies are burned outside the camp.p 12 So too Yeshua suffered death outside the gate, in order to make the people holy through his own blood. 13 Therefore, let us go out to Him who is outside the camp and share His disgrace. 14 For we have no permanent city here; on the contrary, we seek the one to come. 15 Through Yeshua, therefore, let us offer God a sacrifice of praise continually. For this is the natural product of lips that acknowledge His name. 16 But don't forget doing good and sharing with others, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. 17 Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your lives, as people who will have to render an account. So make it a task of joy for them, not one of groaning; for that is of no advantage to you. 18 Keep praying for us, for we are certain that we have a clear conscience and want to conduct ourselves properly in everything we do. 19 And all the more I beg you to do this, so that I may be restored to you that much sooner. 20 May the God of shalom, who through the blood of the eternal covenant, brought back from the dead our Lord Yeshua, that great Shepherd of the sheep,. 21 equip you with every good thing you need to do His will; and may He work in us whatever pleases Him, through Yeshua the Messiah. to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. 22 Now I urge you, brothers, to bear with my message of exhortation; for I have written you only briefly. 23 Know that our brother Timothy has been released. If he comes soon enough, I will bring him with me when I come to see you. 24 Greet all your leaders and all God's people. The people from Italy send greetings to you. 25 Grace be with you all.
Jehovah God has given you the light to see His complete truth revealed again in this amazing book of Hebrews, written to you His chosen.  “TODAY, if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart as your forefathers did in the desert.”  Yeshua is the way, the truth and the life.  Yeshua is your light and your salvation.  Yeshua is Jehovah’s Son, His sacrificial Lamb, born to die that you may live. The greatest mistake you will ever make in your life is refusing Jehovah’s only begotten Son, Yeshua, as your personal Savior and Lord of your life.

Chapter 26d: The Firstborn of Jehovah Part IV

faith-reason
Trust in Jehovah = Faith in Yeshua = Trusting Faithfulness
 ALL THINGS SPIRITUAL
Come let us reason together.  The life of man is all about the foundation of truth, which brings on the actions of trust. Then there is faith, which is a spiritual transformation of each soul to know without a doubt that one is saved by faith, believing in Yeshua when one receives forgiveness of sin, the gift of the Holy Spirit within each one, and the guarantee of a home forever in God’s Kingdom of Heaven.  Remember, all things Spiritual!!

The Word of Truth is Jehovah God as He spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways.   Hebrews Chapters 1 & 2
The Word of Truth, the Holy Bible, is God’s Holy Word.  2 Timothy 3:16
All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. Review Israel's Ultimate Victory Chapter 17: The Holy Spirit.
The Word of Truth, Yeshua, is the Son of Jehovah God. John 1:14
Hebrews 7 tells us that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."  The Son was with God in the beginning.  The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.  We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and only Son, who came from the Father God, full of grace and truth.
Therefore, we have the Word of Truth, the Trinity; the three in one: Jehovah God, Holy Spirit the Holy Bible, and Yeshua the Son.

"Praise the Father, Praise the Son"
performed by Chris Tomlin
What is truth?  Is it the foundation for trust?  Let us look at a passage of scripture from the gospel of John 18:36-38.  Yeshua has been taken by the Judeans to the Roman governor, Pilot, to be found guilty of being the Son of God and sentenced to death by crucifixion.
36 Yeshua answered, "My kingship does not derive its authority from this world's order of things. If it did, my men would have fought to keep me from being arrested by the Judeans. But my kingship does not come from here." 37 "So then," Pilate said to him, "You are a king, after all." Yeshua answered, "You say I am a king. The reason I have been born, the reason I have come into the world, is to bear witness to the truth. Every one who belongs to the truth listens to me." 38 Pilate asked him, "What is truth?" Having said this, Pilate went outside again to the Judeans and told them, "I don't find any case against Him.
Pilot
John 19   19 Pilate also had a notice written and posted on the stake (cross); it read, YESHUA OF NATZERET: THE KING OF THE JEWS 20 Many of the Judeans read this notice, because the place where Yeshua was put on the stake was close to the city; and it had been written in Hebrew,  in Aramaic, in Latin and in Greek. 21 The Judeans' head cohanim therefore said to Pilate, "Don't write, `THE KING OF THE JEWS,' but that this man claimed to be king of the Jews.” 22 Pilate answered, "What I have written, I have written."  In my heart, I would really like to believe that Pilot meant what he posted.
Yeshua’s reason for coming into the world was to bear witness of the Truth.
John 14   1 "Don't let yourselves be disturbed. Trust in God and trust in me. 2 In my Father's house are many places to live. If there weren't, I would have told you; because I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3 Since I am going and preparing a place for you, I will return to take you with me; so that where I am, you may be also. 4 Furthermore, you know where I'm going; and you know the way there." 5 T'oma said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you're going; so how can we know the way?" 6 Yeshua said, "I AM the Way -- and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through me. 7 Because you have known me, you will also know my Father; from now on, you do know him -- in fact, you have seen him." 8 Philip said to him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it will be enough for us." 9 Yeshua replied to him, "Have I been with you so long without your knowing me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father; so how can you say, `Show us the Father'? 10 Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me? What I am telling you, I am not saying on my own initiative; the Father living in me is doing His own works. 11 Trust me that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me. But if you can't, then trust because of the works themselves. 12 Yes, indeed! I tell you that whoever trusts in me will also do the works I do! Indeed, he will do greater ones, because I am going to the Father.
15 "If you love me, you will keep my commands; 16 and I will ask the Father, and He will give you another comforting Counselor like me, the Holy Spirit of Truth, to be with you forever. 17 The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees nor knows Him. You know Him, because He is staying with you and will be united with you.

The Gospel of John Chapters 12-14 from The Visual Bible
Hebrews 11  1 Trusting is being confident of what we hope for, convinced about things we do not see. 2 It was for this that Scripture attested the merit of the people of old. 3 By trusting, we understand that the universe was created through a spoken word of God, so that what is seen did not come into being out of existing phenomena. 4 By trusting, Hevel offered a greater sacrifice than Kayin; because of this, he was attested as righteous, with God giving him this testimony on the ground of his gifts. Through having trusted, he still continues to speak, even though he is dead. 5 By trusting, Hanokh was taken away from this life without seeing death - "He was not to be found, because God took him away" - for he has been attested as having been, prior to being taken away, well pleasing to God. 6 And without trusting, it is impossible to be well pleasing to God, because whoever approaches Him must trust that He does exist and that He becomes a Rewarder to those who seek Him out. 7 By trusting, Noach, after receiving divine warning about things as yet unseen, was filled with holy fear and built an ark to save his household. Through this trusting, he put the world under condemnation and received the righteousness that comes from trusting. 8 By trusting, Avraham obeyed, after being called to go out to a place which God would give him as a possession; indeed, he went out without knowing where he was going. 9 By trusting, he lived as a temporary resident in the Land of the promise, as if it were not his, staying in tents with Yitz'chak and Ya'akov, who were to receive what was promised along with him. 10 For he was looking forward to the city with permanent foundations, of which the architect and builder is God. 11 By trusting, he received potency to father a child, even when he was past the age for it, as was Sarah herself; because he regarded the One who had made the promise as trustworthy. 12 Therefore, this one man, who was virtually dead, fathered descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky, and as countless as the grains of the sand on the seashore. 13 All these people kept on trusting until they died, without receiving what had been promised. They had only seen it and welcomed it from a distance, while acknowledging that they were aliens and temporary residents on the earth. 14 For people who speak this way make it clear that they are looking for a fatherland. 15 Now if they were to keep recalling the one they left, they would have an opportunity to return; 16 but as it is, they aspire to a better fatherland, a heavenly one. This is why God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared for them a city. 17 By trusting, Avraham, when he was put to the test, offered up Yitz'chak as a sacrifice. Yes, he offered up his only son, he who had received the promises, 18 to whom it had been said, "What is called your 'seed' will be in Yitz'chak." 19 For he had concluded that God could even raise people from the dead! And, figuratively speaking, he did so receive him. 20 By trusting, Yitz'chak in his blessings over Ya'akov and Esav made reference to events yet to come. 21 By trusting, Ya'akov, when he was dying, blessed each of Yosef 's sons, leaning on his walking-stick as he bowed in prayer. 22 By trusting, Yosef, near the end of his life, remembered about the Exodus of the people of Isra'el and gave instructions about what to do with his bones. 23 By trusting, the parents of Moshe hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw that he was a beautiful child, and they weren't afraid of the king's decree. 24 By trusting, Moshe, after he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter. 25 He chose being mistreated along with God's people rather than enjoying the passing pleasures of sin. 26 He had come to regard abuse suffered on behalf of the Messiah as greater riches than the treasures of Egypt, for he kept his eyes fixed on the reward. 27 By trusting, he left Egypt, not fearing the king's anger; he persevered as one who sees the unseen. 28 By trusting, he obeyed the requirements for the Pesach, including the smearing of the blood, so that the Destroyer of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Isra'el. 29 By trusting, they walked through the Red Sea as through dry land; when the Egyptians tried to do it, the sea swallowed them up. 30 By trusting, the walls of Yericho fell down - after the people had marched around them for seven days. 31 By trusting, Rachav the prostitute welcomed the spies and therefore did not die along with those who were disobedient. 32 What more should I say? There isn't time to tell about Gid'on, Barak, Shimshon, Yiftach, David, Sh'mu'el and the prophets; 33 who, through trusting, conquered kingdoms, worked righteousness, received what was promised, shut the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, had their weakness turned to strength, grew mighty in battle and routed foreign armies. 35 Women received back their dead resurrected; other people were stretched on the rack and beaten to death, refusing to be ransomed, so that they would gain a better resurrection. 36 Others underwent the trials of being mocked and whipped, then chained and imprisoned. 37 They were stoned, sawed in two, murdered by the sword; they went about clothed in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted, mistreated, 38 wandering about in deserts and mountains, living in caves and holes in the ground! The world was not worthy of them! 39 All of these had their merit attested because of their trusting. Nevertheless, they did not receive what had been promised, 40 because God had planned something better that would involve us, so that only with us would they be brought to the goal.
What is that something better that would involve us?  What is the goal?  Along with verse 40, let’s read Hebrews 10:19:11-151:1-3
1 For the Torah is only a shadow of the good things to come, but not the actual manifestation of the originals. Therefore, it can never, by means of the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, bring to the goal those who approach the Holy Place to offer them.
11 But when Yeshua the Messiah appeared as cohen gadol of the good things that are happening already, then, through the greater and more perfect Tent which is not man-made (that is, it is not of this created world), 12 Yeshua entered the Holiest Place once and for all. And He entered not by means of the blood of goats and calves, but by means of His own blood, thus setting people free forever13 For if sprinkling ceremonially unclean persons with the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer restores their outward purity; 14 then how much more the blood of Yeshua Messiah, who, through the eternal Spirit, offered Himself to God as a sacrifice without blemish, will purify our conscience from works that lead to death, so that we can serve the living God! 15 It is because of this death that Yeshua is mediator of a New Covenant because His death has occurred which sets people free from the transgressions committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promised eternal inheritance.
1 In days gone by, God spoke in many and varied ways to the Fathers through the prophets. 2 But now, in the acharit-hayamim, he has spoken to us through his Son, to whom he has given ownership of everything and through whom he created the universe. 3 This Son is the radiance of the Sh'khinah, the very expression of God's essence, upholding all that exists by his powerful word; and after he had, through himself, made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of HaG'dulah BaM'romim.
Therefore, Jehovah’s plan for something better, because He so loved us, is the sending of His only begotten Son, Yeshua into the world, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Something better is Jehovah’s Son, our key to the goal – Heaven!  The word goal signifies completion of whatever fulfilled or accomplished in any given effort. Yeshua came to Earth to do His Father God’s will, to be the once-for-all sacrificial Lamb for the sins of those who choose to follow Him.  On the cross Yeshua said,  “It is finished!” The work He had come to Earth to do was complete and He would return again to His Father.
Paul, a member of the ruling body in Israel, was chosen by Jehovah to take the gospel message to the Gentiles, spoke these words at his journey’s end.
2 Timothy 4  7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord Yeshua, "the Righteous Judge," will award to me on that Day - and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for Him to appear.
In fighting the good fight, all believers are given a spiritual suit from God.  This is a spiritual battle!  All Things Spiritual!
Ephesians 6  10 Finally, grow powerful in union with the Lord, in union with his mighty strength! 11 Use all the armor and weaponry that God provides, so that you will be able to stand against the deceptive tactics of the Adversary. 12 For we are not struggling against human beings, but against the rulers, authorities and cosmic powers governing this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm. 13 So take up every piece of war equipment God provides; so that when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist; and when the battle is won, you will still be standing. 14 Therefore, stand! Have the belt of truth buckled around your waist, put on righteousness for a breastplate, 15 and wear on your feet the readiness that comes from the Good News of shalom16 Always carry the shield of faith, with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the Evil One. 17 And take the helmet of salvation; along with the sword given by the Spirit, that is, the Word of God.
Hebrews 1  1 In days gone by, God spoke in many and varied ways to the Fathers through the prophets. 2 But now, in the acharit-hayamim, he has spoken to us through His Son, to whom He has given ownership of everything and through whom He created the universe. 3 Jehovah’s Son, Yeshua, is the radiance of the Sh'khinah, the very expression of God's essence, upholding all that exists by his powerful word; and after Yeshua had, through Himself, made purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of HaG'dulah BaM'romim (Majesty on high) in Heaven.

In the beginning of this part IV of Hebrews we spoke of truth, trust and faith.  Many times these words seem to be interchangeable.  Let us consider the word faith and its association with the “Last Days” and the Gospel message of salvation presented by Yeshua while He was on Earth.  The following scriptures give spiritual insight in relation to the word faith.
Galatians 3  21 Is the Torah against the promises of God? God forbid! For if there had been a Torah given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the Torah. 22 But instead, the Tanakh has concluded all under sin; so that the promise by faith of Yeshua Christ might be given to them that believe. 23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith, which should afterwards be revealed. 24 Wherefore the Torah was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Yeshua Christ, that we might be justified by faith, 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Yeshua Messiah. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ Yeshua have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Yeshua Christ. 29 Also, if you belong to Yeshua Messiah, then you are the seed of Avraham and heirs according to the promise.
Ephesians 3:9 Not having mine own righteousness, which is of the Torah, but that which is through the faith of Yeshua Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.
Romans 3  22 Even the righteousness of God, which is by faith of Yeshua Messiah unto all and upon all them that believe; for there is no difference; 23  For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; 24   Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Yeshua Messiah; 25  Whom God has set forth to be the propitiation through faith in Yeshua’s blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of  sins that are past through the forbearance of God;  26  To declare, I say, at this time His righteousness: that He might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Yeshua.  27 Where is boasting then?  It is excluded. By the Torah? Of works?  NAY: but by the law of faith.  28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith, without the deeds of the Torah.
Romans 1  16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation for every one who believes; first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.  17 For in the Gospel, the righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous shall live by faith.”
Ephesians 2:8  For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
May you be receptive to this truth from Jehovah, His Son Yeshua, the Holy Spirit, and His word - the Holy Bible. Believing is seeing! All things Spiritual!
